Unfortunately Cotto and Canelo refuse to sign such a contract so I guess Cotto will be stripped. Now I'll sit back and wait for all the Cotto jockstraps to come in and ask for proof that Sulaiman actually said that, because every time I have posted that info over the past couple of weeks I have basically been called a liar.
And you're just like GGG, powerless.

Its OK, everyone understands Cotto is a lame coward who is holding
the Lineal MW belt hostage. Did you see the urine puddle at his feet in the ring when Max asked him about Golovkin? He probably ran to the locker-room to change his pink panties. Your local poster shop may have a copy, so you can pin it up in your room.

We all knew that Canelo/Cotto was next in line. It's a big fight, and the one we all want.

After this fight, and if GGG is still undefeated then the winner of Canelo/Cotto should fight GGG.
So let them both sign a contract to that effect and get on with things. But no, they both refuse to give that guarantee to fight GGG. isn't that interesting?

GGG should fight Froch for a big money fight. In boxing there are few big money fights that come around. A Froch fight in England could be huge. After that he can come back and face the Canelo/Cotto winner, and if for some reason that fight doesn't happen right away, beating Froch opened the door for him to have another fight with DeGeale at 168, and ultimately the big fight with Ward.

If you actually follow the boxing news, GGG is trying to get a deal done with Froch but Froch seems to have vanished as far as GGG and his team are concerned.

Cotto will get a fight lined up with Floyd and another with Canelo, then will retire. Like he's said, he's watching out for his business and his family and he's not going to take on unnecessary risk (GGG) without a big payday. I wish either the WBC would make him vacate or Cotto would give up the MW strap.

Froch won't fight GGG under any circumstances.

Ladies and gentlemen, may I introduce Miguel Cotto.

The World Boxing Council***8217;s middleweight kingpin (for the time being, at least) struck a blow for title-level disorder Saturday night, but it wasn***8217;t when he dispatched a bloated, non-combative Daniel Geale.

Rather, the Puerto Rican star made his biggest statement after the fight, when he confirmed that his next trick would be to once again step through the Mexico-based organization***8217;s mandatory challenger ***8211; Gennady Golovkin ***8211; to engineer a pay-per-view match later this year with Saul ***8220;Canelo***8221; Alvarez.

The WBC***8217;s president was smiling in the ring after the TKO and has suggested his alphabet group will sign off on a Cotto-Alvarez match ***8211; even though Alvarez holds no belts and has defeated no middleweight contenders ***8211; with the proviso that a pre-fight contract be drawn up guaranteeing Golovkin***8217;s got next. GGG is not powerless. GGG has said all along that all he wants is the belt that Cotto has. If Cotto won't fight him for it, then Cotto will be stripped of the belt and GGG will have it. If GGG does not get a written agreement to fight the winner of Canelo/Cotto then he will not agree to any step aside deal. Cotto has already went back on his word before. So I would not trust what Cotto says. Back in October GGG made the fight with Rubio to be the mandatory for the opportunity that Cotto got from the WBC to fight Martinez. When Cotto made that deal with the WBC he understood that after one optional fight, he then had to fight the winner of Rubio/Golovkin sometime this year. Cotto made that deal with the WBC in order to get the opportunity against Martinez. Or else Martinez would have probably fought somebody else or fought Golovkin. *Now that Cotto has to live up to that arrangement he is not being honorable. He is backing out because he is being a diva. He fights Geale and doesn't fight the winner of Golovkin/Rubio. So what does that say about Cotto's word.

1 more thing, I wouldn't be surprised to see Floyd try to steal away Cotto for Sept. 12th.
I think Canelo will fight GGG but it wont be anytime soon maybe within 2 years until be feels its to hard for his body to make 154, but that is not to far away.
