I don't like watching fights in silence on the screen.

The guys who did Kessler - Froch 1, I really enjoy those two. Rewatched it last night.

I guess you don't like them. Why?

Someone suggested to me not too long ago, the idea of a "mute commentary" option for, say, HBO or SHO. It's self explanatory: you could mute the commentary and just watch the fight how it is. I think it's a great idea.

A good fight, speaks for itself - you don't need commentators telling a story

Back in the day i downloaded a version of Haye vs Ruiz which had sound but no commentary. It was great.

Since then ive always thought there should be a no commentary option, especially for PPV's.

I'm always happy with them, except the few obvious times, like Bradley Pac 1 and 2. But that's what happens when you cast every big fight. You can't be accurate 100 % of the time.

Roy Jones is really and insightful too, so I like that it's two commentators and one analyst.

British commentators are really good too.
I like Kellerman and Lampley too. I like the commentary in general, but that's because I've only been watching boxing for about eight months. I learn a lot from watching the fights and I learn a little more from the commentary. Obviously some are better than others, but I enjoy it all.

I see where the OP is coming from, though. I've watched a lot more American Football than boxing, and I usually watch that on mute so I don't have to hear the commentary. But since I'm still learning boxing, I like to hear what they have to say about it.

It was either Sky or BBC who did this for a short while. It was bliss.

I don't think anyone does this particularly well in boxing so idk the point of it. When I hear Joe Rogan doing UFC blow by blow I hear actual blow by blow. When I boxing commentators doing blow by blow I hear a lot about Mayweather liking fancy **** & cars & how Pacquiao is going to be President of the Philippines one day & all sorts of other nutty **** while punches get landed left & right. Boxing has been coasting on its popularity for far too long with commentators ****ting on the sport & talking about random ****** **** during the fight, they need to clean ****ing house with most of these cats who've been around several decades blow by blowing.

Sorry but they're miles better than US commentators. Even the Boxnation guys are better than US commentators. US commentary is very much "say what you see" with very little insight, interspersed with pointless trivia. Awful to be quite frank.
