Ward is in another weight division. GGG has business at 160 first, which includes selling tickets. Lara couldn't sell free tickets to flies if the fight was in a port-a-pottie.

    -The end of that noise

No S#iT.....they want him to be a big name by fighting smaller opponents. Take a chance and fight Ward, he need a big name for the long lay off he had.

How often does Ward have to say he is not ready to face GGG yet? Loeffler tried to make the fight and contacted Roc Nation but Ward made it clear he needs a couple tuneup fights and his team doesnt even know if he can make 168 ever again. Why don't you casual fans inform yourself? Stop being ignorant, its all over the web and even on boxingscene.

Ward doesn't want to be a good boy it seems.

Lol come on who is lara??? "Slick" fighters do not pose a threat to GGG. And why does GGG have to move up to 168 to fight ward? He wants to unify 160 so he has that right

because he can make $15m fighting Canelo Alvarez, $10m+ rematching Floyd, $2m+ for basically fighting any opponent at this point (upside from the live gate, and the money generated in Puerto Rico likely double that number), and fighting Golovkin puts barely more money into his pocket than fighting Geale did.

Cotto is simply looking to maximize the payouts before he hangs up the gloves for good (which he seems to understand isn't that far away, as noted in the partnership deal with Roc Nation for he and his promotional company).

HBO is just pushing their Golovkin rights fee to ~$2m; if HBO puts up $4m for the fight, and Golovkin takes the short end of a 3:1 split, Cotto gladly takes the fight.

If Golovkin Nation thinks that Cotto is taking that fight off of a split of $2m, you must've not seen how Cotto has guided his career once it's been his own decision to make.

mention Ward in a conversation with Abel Sanchez, Loeffler, Golovkin's fans or Golovkin himself and watch the entire horde of them start stammering around like Deebo just walked into the room during Friday.

even in that milquetoast sweater and smile.

Loeffler "tried to make the fight" after Ward had been on the fence for 14 months (Ward only signed with Roc Nation in February 2015, therefore any talk of K2 negotiating with Roc Nation would've had to begin at that point).

K2 had nothing to say to Ward during the summer of 2014, where all that 'beat every fighter 154-168' trash was running rampant and Ward put his hand up. They didn't say anything when Lara raised his hand either (fighting Ouma and Rosado with no qualms, yet needing Lara to prove himself at 160 in the biggest load of bull**** that people seem to just accept).

revisionist history doesn't work when there's a public log for folks to go and see with their own eyes, lol.

Ward was NOT FIGHTING in 2014. He was busy in court. Sorry, but YOUR revisionist history does not work when everyone knows the facts.

You are also aware of the politics of a Lara fight but choose to ignore them like an ignorant troll. Which is not surprising as that is exactly what you are.

Notice to everyone: This guy is one of the biggest anti-Golovkin trolls on the Internet. He makes exactly the same kind of posts in the comments of RING articles on Disqus. The fortunate thing here is that he can be added to an ignore list, as he has just been added to mine. Do not waste your time arguing with him as he ignores facts and like all the GGG haters, does everything possible to twist and misrepresent facts to fit his point of view.

This shhh is turning into Pacquaio 2.0 a bunch of morons bashing a fighter for being steadfast on what he wants to achieve. In an era of prima donnas you got a select few guys actually caring over legacy. Why can't Ward and Rigo get their due props? Cause so called "non-casuals" spend all their time talking shhh about another fighter instead of keeping the discussion going on those guys they hold in high estimation. It's funny though post an article on here about Ward and a fight and you don't get ten percent of the Ward fans on it, that you do in a Golovkin thread.
