They really have. I think Mares is a little washed up after getting ktfo and Santa Cruz is just starting to fight to the level of his competition. Well - obviously he's still better than his competition, considering they are cab drivers and janitors, but he's certainly going to be in for a shock when he starts fighting live bodies. I still favor Santa Cruz here since Mares has looked too damn shaky lately. Would be rooting for Mares though. Gary Russell beats both.

I've been anticipating this fight for awhile - I was on that LSC bandwagon - baby Margarito - then he turned shameless.

Mares though has been a real G - he's been matched soft and his confidence has been shaky. I feel he may be washed up now, at least mentally and I hope he can regain form

Momentum is dead compared to when idea was first floated. Both these guys have been doing nothing leading up and honestly, while the winner will probably go on to bigger things, the loser won't be doing anything different than what they've been doing for the past 2 years
