  • Cotto vs Rosado should have happened last night..

Anyone else think this would have been a better fight? Better barometer fight by far imo. He's no world beater but he takes a good beating without quitting like Geale did. Better test too, since he had good spots with all 3 top 160 fighters in Quellin, GGG, Lemieux. With Quellin it was close, with the other two it was stopped until his face turned to mush.

He's way worse than geale. He can take a beating but that doesn't make it better at all. He got shut out by charlo

This fight was not supposed to be a test for Cotto. It was a essentially a fixed fight to make Cotto look sensational as he probably would have won without draining him. With the drainage it's easy to make it a showcase fight. Geale sold his soul and was only there for the money which is why he was willing to be drained so badly.

charlo is a great talent be very few who will be able to compete with charlo so thats saying nothing.

Rosado would have been a better tune up fight in prepartion for a canelo fight cause I Believe they probably hit about the same but cotto can place his shots better and rosado is durable as hell.

But we all know cotto doesnt like resistance.

Gabby's pride got the best of him there....he had no business going back down to 154...he was sluggish as f'ck in there with Charlo

people forget that Gabby started boxing at 18....he's been learning on the job since day one....no easy fights like dudes with big time promoters who carefully match them....his Philly toughness is his biggest strength....and YES he would've gave Cotto a better fight than Geale imo

He did lose 4, but the point is he would of been the better challenge. I mean you have some ppl saying Rosado exposed GGG, and some had him winning the Quillin fight, how is that not a better opponent.

No. Cotto is the middleweight champ and Rosado is not a middleweight contender. Rosado putting up a better fight than Geale doesn't matter. Cotto should have fought GGG by now and he should have fought Geale at the regular limit of 160 but there is no reason Rosado should even be in the picture. He is just another GGG KO victim and he is a 154 pounder. Cotto would have knocked Rosado out too.
