Real honesty from Geale here. I can't blame him too much. He probably had 0 rounds on the judges cards and suffered two knockdowns. It would of been hard for him to win on the cards against Cotto.

Geale's a good dude. I feel bad for him...getting dropped hard and TKO'd early in his last two -- that's gotta be rough on him.

Cotto is more powerful than I accredited him, I can't see how Canelo can just walk through those shots. Geale ain't no slouch and takes a good shot, or at least did, from harder hitting foes IMO. I think it was the snap and zest in his punches that surprised Danny, not the power itself.

Canelo will have problems landing clean on Cotto and as has been proven before Canelo isn't difficult to tag, I'm leaning towards Cotto ever so slightly of they fight, especially if it happens at like 154.5, just inside the midde weight.

Cotto looked to be testing himsef on the scales in this fight, as in what weight can he get down to in demanding what weight can he comfortably make whilst knowing his opponents will struggle.

Question, could Cotto demand 153 from Canelo and they still fight for middle weight title belt ?

Doesn't really make it any better for him though

Geale should retire. Fight Mundine or something one last time for the payday, then retire.

He would have got paid good today.
He's been knocked out 2x now, he's 34. He hasn't taken serious punishment but he's still been stopped twice and taken some big shots. Call it a day, solid career, plenty to be proud of.
