Cotto is a better fighter than GGG. It's a no contest. All you need to do is see the evidence Golovkin - Geale and Cotto - Geale. Golovkin seems slow with less movement compared to Cotto and has questionable defense. Cotto would box circles around GGG all night.

fyi, this isn't a cotto diss, he looked spectacular & I think he's making a smart business move capitalizing on a weak division being a naturally smaller man.
Need to factor in the catchweight though.

Golovkin's best wins have gotten diluted in value.

His Khomitsky win has appreciated tremendously (Sergey beat Buglioni, Moore, Etches, Stieglitz in a robbery, Murray in a robbery).

        But...

His Proksa, Rosado, & Geale wins have gradually crapped the bed. And featherfisted Martin Murray is moving up to super middleweight to crap the bed further.

His portfolio consists of C level guys like Sergey Khomitsky, Ian Gardner, Nilson Julio Tapia, Grzegorz Proksa, Matthew Macklin, Curtis Stevens, Osumanu Adama, Willie Monroe Jr.

And C+ level guys like Kassim Ouma, Martin Murray, Daniel Geale, Marco Antonio Rubio.

I think less & less of GGG's resume as time passes.

What does one have to do with the other?

Geale is a highly ranked MW contender and both Cotto and GGG showed that there's levels to this ****.

This thread just shows Max was right:

Put a good performance and after the fight no one remembers the extra, such as weight stipulations and what not.

              It works.

I don't think less of ggg. I just think that cotto has what it take to get in the ring with him. I know cotto a better skilled and ggg is bigger stronger. It will be a great fight. Cotto wins if he boxes ggg wins if he trades. I'll watch to see what happens.
