Comments Thread For: Photo: Robert Guerrero-Aron Martinez Scorecards

(CARSON, Calif.) - Robert Guerrero received the victory, by way of a ten round split decision, after surviving a fourth round knockdown to get past Aron Martinez on Saturday afternoon before an outdoor crowd at the Stubhub Center. His performance throughout the ten round bout may have left more questions than answers though about what is next for his career.

While many predicted Guerrero to easily defeat Martinez, the fighter from East Los Angeles came to win and took the fight to Guerrero.

I thought Martinez won the fight. Guerrero looked pretty rough, the Thurman fight took a lot out of him. He needs to sit out until 2016.

I think Guerrero won the second half of the fight but every judge gave him 6-10? That's a bit extreme. Also, only one judge gave Martinez the 5th? I thought that was clearly his round

The way Guerrero slaps with his punches is just painful to watch. I was reading articles and only listened to he fight in the background to hear if he was knocked down again. He ruined his career by moving to welterweight, he's just terrible.... loses to every good welterweight except MAYBE against those that can't punch for **** like Pauli, although Paulie Pachater could still outbox him. He's just a punching bag who doesn't know how to hurt people....Put him against Alvarado, Rios or a Berto rematch. Will never watch him fight again unless it's against someone good. He's a good guy and great husband but come on man use your ****ing knuckles....

The other judges had it close, and the commentators had it close. Cantu should've just given Guerrero every round but the 4th.

I think Thurman cracked Guerrero"s legendary chin.

I had it a draw wouldn't be upset if the decision went either way.

But damn Robert looked lifeless when he went down. I thought there was no way he could come back from that.
