Comments Thread For: Robert Guerrero Aims To Fight 3-4 Times a Year

Former champion Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero (32-3-1, 18 KOs) wants to stay more active after a stint of inactivity in 2013 and 2014. Later today has goes up against Aron Martinez (19-3-1, 4 KOs) in the headline fight of Premier Boxing Champions on NBC at the StubHub Center in Carson, California.

Guerrero only fought once in 2013, losing a twelve round decision to Floyd Mayweather Jr. He returned a year later and fought a war to gain a decision win over Yoshihiro Kamegai, which also took place at StubHub.

I knew it wouldn't be long until haymon started putting these ridiculous mismatches on pbc. If he keeps this up its going down the tubes real quick. I wont even watch this fight and I can for free.

He can fight three to four bums a year or as many as he wants but I hope he's not expecting anyone to actually watch or pay any attention to that garbage. I won't be tuning in to his fight today because it has no business being televised on NBC let alone be the headliner of the whole show. I enjoy my fights the same as those who drink wine, of good quality.

The three TV Fights scheduled from the show are Guerrero-Martinez (a fight to basically get Guerrero hopefully back into the win column), Cuellar-Darchinian, and Breazeale-Consuegra in a heavyweight bout.

A good styles fight that should lead to a decent scrap (Guerrero-Martinez), a step up fight for Cuellar (Cuellar-Darchinian) and a heavyweight fight with both prospects taking a step up (Breazeale-Consuegra).

PBC could air Floyd Mayweather's final fight in primetime on CBS and you'd still trash the show.

Walking in on Haymon ****ing your mom must've been really traumatic, but you've got to let that go.

He might want to rethink that, after today.
