RJJ uses really long range hooks, does he even try to get bone structure behind them?

    RJJ uses really long range hooks, does he even try to get bone structure behind them?

    Normally hooks are bent at 90 degrees if you follow text book advise. But you can widen teh angle a bit and still get good body structure/bone structure and weight behind them.

    But roy appears* to still KO people with what look like arm punches (obviously hip powered arm punches, but they arnt properly connecting the weight of the body to the opponent, and yet he still knocks people flying/out.

    Am I seeing things? Or does he always bend the elbow enough to connect the bodies weight? So its never an arm weight punch?

    No they're not, they're at whatever elbow angle is appropriate for the range

      He wasn't exactly a power puncher, but he was so fast he could catch you with a shot before you could brace for it. They never saw it coming and so it was that much more devastating.
