2012 Olympic gold medal winner Anthony Joshua (13-0, 13KOs) is ready to fast-track his way to world title shot.

Joshua has already set his sights on WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (33-0, 32KOs).

Last weekend Joshua blew out durable veteran Kevin Johnson in two rounds. He plans to return on July 18th and then again on September 12. Wilder is defending his title next week in Alabama against heavy underdog Eric Molina. Next up for Wilder would be a mandatory defense against Alexander Povetkin of Russia.

This fight should happen in 2-3 years when one is the champion. That will be a massive fight and make them both a lot of money

I can imagine Wilder will have a few losses to his name by the time this fight comes around.

I'm pretty sure he said on Ringside he won't be ready for Wilder for another 2 years.

yeah he said 18 months or two years. i think that's a bit pessimistic. if they start matching him with live bodies he should be ready for a title fight by 20 or so fights

Yeah maybe to like Wlad, which won't exactly be the end of the world. I foresee where post-Wlad we see a Wilder-Joshua rivalry over who rules the division. Tyson Fury as the sort of gatekeeper..

Anthony Joshua needs to go in with Mariusz Wach. The Pole is a rock, not overly talented but the toughest guy out there. And he's a big lump too. Maybe he can go rounds and let us see if a fighter with huge arms like AJ, who lets his shots flow from the first bell, can maintain that punch out-put after six rounds and more, once the lactic acid starts doing its thing.
