The only time Hatton-Witter could have happened was when it was a domestic level fight for no money. We can't exactly say the same about that for Khan-Brook, can we?

Ummm why before? Obviously it is silly to suggest they should've fought back then not that I was suggesting it anyways. Thought it was clear I was implying after Witter being a World Champion.
Lmao so why the hell would you bring it up to begin with? That's because Witter was a world champion at that point and had put in a good performance against Harris. This must have been 6 odd years after the Judah debacle. Plus he was fighting an American and Carl Froch was also on the card in what was supposed to be a world title fight.
You used it as an ace to justify his ducking Witter.
Froch was a nobody then and what has undercard got to do with this? 0 relevance to the subject at hand.
Burns-Crawford wasn't aired on HBO, so apparently being an American isn't enough.
"grilled the same". Comprehension is key.
Yeah, I'm sure you were there before that too. I'm not even in my mid 20s.
Witter missed the boat. How cute?
So, Brook missed the boat with Khan then? In hindsight Algieri comes back may be wins another World title or beats a name and we'll say the same thing.
By hindsight I mean now that we look at it you say "oh he was setting up fights", but if Hatton wanted it they would've positioned themselves in such a way where it works out for both guys.
Spin.
Yeah, and you're deflecting. Going back to square 1. Beating the point to death. "Khan is ducking Khan is ducking". Yes, Dirk everyone gets it.Last edited by Box-Office; 06-06-2015, 02:16 PM.Comment

Exactly and as I keep telling you, by the time Witter had won a title, Hatton had already arranged a double header with Castillo in Las Vegas with the idea to set up the Castillo fight and then the Mayweather fight came next. That's what I mean by Witter missed the boat. Logistically, the fight was never possible except at domestic level which, as you've just said would have been pointless.
Brook didn't miss the boat, Khan just jumped off it. Khan didn't have anything booked or mapped out. He stalled and stalled and stalled, hoping for Floyd or Pacquiao. Then said he was going to fight Marquez, Bradley, Cotto etc but he ended up announcing Algieri
Then said it wasn't true and then slowly announced it again when the backlash had calmed slightly.
The Brook fight was there on the table for him and the biggest available to him, he had no other plans and he took Algieri.Comment

I think the terms ducking and avoiding are thrown around way to much on this site, and in general. In an interview a few days prior to the Gavin fight last weekend, Brook said the following about Keith Thurman. Interesting to note that Khan previously said very similar things about Brook (to the point that Brook seems to be reciting some of Khan's words here) but some people have claimed he's avoiding Brook.
"I definitely put Thurman as the most dangerous welterweight out there for me. It's a hard fight but it's winnable. I'd be very excited about that fight but I think the fight... His name's starting to grow now and it's one of them tough fights that can't just be made next. I think we have to go and fight some good opposition and it's built into a massive fight for me and Thurman because it's a very dangerous fight for both of us."
Kell Brook @ 6:33
I think Brook made perfect logical sense in his statement of Thurman.Comment
