Comments Thread For: Chavez Jr. Vows To Train Very Hard Under Robert Garcia

Former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (48-2-1, 32KOs) has promised to return to his hard training roots under trainer Robert Garcia, who wants discipline and a hard work ethic from the Mexican fighter. Chavez Jr. returns on July 18th against Marcos Reyes in El Paso, Texas. Showtime is being reported as the television outlet.

Chavez returned in April after a one year layoff and got knocked out by Andrzej Fonfara in nine rounds. After the fight Chavez admitted that he made a mistake in moving up by two weight classes to 175-pounds and facing a top contender in that division.

Remember how happy he was and how hard working he was before Fonfara?

                We've heard it all before.
