Comments Thread For: Ariza: Pacquiao Needs a New Team For Mayweather II

Undefeated pound for pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr’s strength and conditioning coach, Alex Ariza, believes a rematch with Mexican legend Juan Manuel Marquez would be best for Mayweather’s planned return to the ring on September 12 in Las Vegas.

In an overseas telephone conversation with the New Standard/BoxingScene.com, Ariza said Marquez “is now a full-fledged welterweight and with ‘Memo’ Heredia working with him Marquez has got better and better” as evidenced in his crushing sixth round knockout of eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao.

Floyd could beat Manny 100 times and you would have an excuse as to why each one doesn't count

If Pacquiao was smart he would read this and take a hint, Ariza wants back on Team Pacquiao. Floyd didnt look that great either, he just had Ariza in camp, to try and get secrets from Ariza but Ariza didnt give any, it was that little filipino boy James Dayap who used to take pictures of Pac who gave out Pacs info on his shoe size, what he eats etc.

All Ariza did was stretch Floyd a few times and take him swimming, Floyd never took any of his diet and nutrition. It was all head games.

If Ariza is smart he should go to the Philippines and talk with Manny personally, they were very close and Pac is a forgiving man, Ariza knew Pac had shoulder problems that developed and he used to make sure he didn't over exert his shoulder in training, Justin Fortune trains Pacquiao too hard like a young man, he doesn't have up to date techniques and Pac has no nutritionist, Ariza worked as both a strength guy and nutritionist for Manny giving him the proper supplements and telling him what he needed to eat.

All Pac has to do is get Roach and ARiza together and let them forgive and move on. Ariza did wonders for Manny/

Without a jab, inability to cut off the ring or fight on the inside, there was never gonna be a Plan B. The only Plan B there could have been was to go for broke and Pacquiao said 'No Thanks'.

Yep. These deficiencies are glaringly obvious.

When in recent history have Pacman fans accepted defeat?

Morales: Blood testing and Reyes gloves
                Bradley: It was rigged
                Marquez: Memo gave him PED's
                Mayweather: Torn rotator cuff

He doesnt even need that, all he needed was the lead left, he landed that at will, but Roach gameplan was to try and throw flurries and win rounds which failed. Fight like he fought Oscar and its a wrap, Floyd cant avoid a lead left to safe his life.

Pac kept giving warning signs to floyd with the double right jab, so Floyd could step back and avoid it, when he threw a lead left he coudln't.
