There is a good possibility that Artur Szpilka (18-1, 13 KOs) could end up facing Steve Cunningham (28-7, 13 KOs) in the fall.
Szpilka, now trained by Ronnie Shields, says the fight is being discussed with him. The Polish fighter signed with powerful manager/adviser Al Haymon earlier this year, and Cunningham signed with Haymon a few weeks ago.
There is talk of a fall card, at the end of September and October, with several fights pitting American fighters against Polish fighters. First thing, Szpilka returns on June 12th at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago, where his rival is Manuel Quezada (29-9, 18 KOs).
