Froch is considering exiting semi-retirement - he has been inactive for a year - to meet either domestic rival and IBF champion DeGale or feared Kazakhstani knockout specialist Golovkin.

DeGale is the safe option both in business and competitive terms, guaranteeing crossover appeal and a large paycheck while offering less potential for an inglorious end to an otherwise magnificent career.

In what world is Golovkin a high reward fight? HBO, the broadcaster that Golovkin's camp have hitched their wagon to, has never backed a Golovkin bout with more than a possibly $2m site fee, let alone talk of putting the money up for PPV.

Froch made the equivalent of $15m for his last fight.

If HBO even backs Golovkin with a $5m rights fee, I'd be shocked; does Froch really even bother with such a fight? (Golovkin's name profile being near nonexistent)

        ANDRE WARD

Fight anyone else or each other does not matter.

        Bunch of cowards.
no one is ducking the unranked andre "i need 2 tune-ups" ward. when ward gets his tune ups out of the way and back in the rankings he can beg for fights with these more popular guys. maybe they will give it to him if he agrees to have a fair ref that doesn't allow him to cheat.

Criticizes Khan for doing the same thing he's doing. What a spanner.

While I like Froch it's pretty cheap to slag off a guy who you have no intention of fighting.

If Degale gassed as hard as he did against Dirrell then Froch would finish him late. Degale looked dead after round 6.

I think Degale beats him quite easily, just the wrong style for Froch.

British money mate, would be easy to build up Golovkin in the UK would not be as big as Groves but it would still be big given the rise in Frochs profile from the Groves fight.

ko degale then fight golovin then, the latter may have 3 or 4 belts by then, and froch will have his one back after beating degale, who is average
