I don't even think Wilder-Fury is competitive, I think Povetkin wins within 4 again not competitive. Wilders skill set is limited to a long (admittedly fantastic) KO right hand and almost nothing else.

If Povetkin finishes Wilder within 4, then you can only imagine how powerful Wlad is.

If wlad had defeated hall of famers and was undeafeated, he would have been p4p 1. Unless floyd loses a fight or two he will be #1 until he retires. Then wlad will probably take his spot if hes still fighting

I would have believed that before Stiverne fight, I now think Wilder will destroy Povetkin and probably beat Wlad/Fury winner. He's an underrated boxer. His jab is very nice, he actually evaded a lot of Stiverne's shots (one punch Stiverne missed so bad and fell into the ropes). His defense is underrated. Stiverne missed so many shots in that fight it was sad.

Wilder is far more than his right hand. Yes that's his best punch but all fighters have a best punch. Wilder threw almost double the punches Stiverne did and landed 37% while Stiverne landed 34%.

Wilder is very active, very long, with immense speed and power, great mobility and gas tank, and a solid chin. Those are the makings of a very good fighter. Povetkin had nothing for Wlad's length, I think the Wilder fight will be a horrible beating for Povetkin

Let me explain what the meaning of the "p4P King" is!

Its picking a fighter from any weight class and transporting him in any division.
Another words taking Rigo and making him 6'4" 220lbs or taking Wlad and making him 5'6" 122lbs.
Taking their skills with them to a different division, thats the p4p meaning.
Not the heavyweight having an unfair advantage because he's bigger!!!
Geeez how dense can you be.
How does Wlad skill level hold up to Rigo the Heavyweight?
I say Wlad gets embarrassed and looks horrible against a highly skilled fighter.
This has NOTHING to do with a "resume" it has to do with skill levels and knowledge and talent.
It has to do with an imagination! Thats why Sugar Ray Robinson is the all time
p4p king because at any division giving him the "pounds" (size) he reigns supreme. His skill level translates to being the best ever.

Your post was great Ray, until the very end..

                  When you mentioned Robinson.

Robinson was a bum skillwise, he had terrible defensive skills, he was a face first, concrete boots plodder like all ancient boxers.

I agree Wladmir has skills allied to his physical gifts and doesn't rank in a lb for lb sense. But his skills are not THAT bad that he fails to compare with any boxers like Robinson from the punch bag eras!

Robinson was great for his day but there are today Amateur boxers who are more skilful. That is a fact!

The man single handed brought an entire nation of 300 million people to its knees, ended 150 years of dominance, ripped up the flag of boxing and replanted it on the opposite side of the world.

He completely transformed boxing from a back and forth slug fest, into a game of chess.

                    Total mastery of boxing fundamentals.

Complete, stylistic shutdown of his opponents.

Never before and probably not for a very long time will we ever see such a revolution in boxing.

Let's not try and pretend as if none of this^^^ happened.

Anything contrary makes you look like a complete fool!

These exhaust the reasons why anybody would attest otherwise.

Hahaha you are such a bad poster that its almost good. To answer one of your previous comments: Wlad does not have a single fighter on his resume that is likely to get into the HOF not ONE. You are lucky he is highly regarded as he is, you should learn to accept it, rather than make him unpopular with these ****** mindless posts.

In terms of the thread, I would have Wlad in the top 10 maybe the top 5 if I am being generous. But he is not a p4p type fighter anyway, I can't regard him as such when his sole defensive technique is holding. His main gift is that he is a highly athletic and coordinated big man, but I think he'll get exposed as soon as he fights a tall fighter who can actually fight. To be honest it could happen in his next fight, I think if he doesn't take Fury out early he could end up getting a beating.
