Comments Thread For: Grigory Drozd Eyes Unification, Back By The Year's End

According to Sportbox.ru, WBC cruiserweight champion and TBRB #4 200-pounder Grigory “Pretty Boy” Drozd (40-1, 28 KOs), who recently defeated challenger Lukasz Janik of Poland in a voluntary defense of the belt, looks to be back in action by the end of 2015.

“I think my next fight takes place at the end of the year. For now I’ll take three or four weeks of rest. We shall be moving step-by-step. I’m looking forward to defend my title, and I’ll do just that. Surely, a unification will be of a higher priority for me," said Drozd.

Doesn't sound like Drozd is in any hurry to get in with Makabu

If any division needs unification & waking up, then it has to be the boring non-entity that is Cruiserweight!

There are a lot of heavy hitting beasts there. Cruiser always lacks luster, but man it could be really good.

Drozd is as tough as nails. Makabu would be a sweet fight.

I think Drozd can beat everybody at CW, he is the most complete fighter there.

Agreed. CW has tons of potential right now, the question is how to get the top ten guys fighting each other for the titles. I don´t want to blame any one in particular but.. fcuk you Sauerland.
