i wasn't huge on this kid right away because he didn't have any pop. then he put a few guys to sleep with highlight reel knockouts

        that shut me up.

he's one of the few blue chip prospects / soon to be contenders in boxing. he's got the looks, the skills, and a PR fanbase that's going ot be hurting for stars once miguel cotto retires.

this kid may be one of the next big things in boxing. always looks in shape, clearly is a talented athlete, and he has skills. me gusta.

He will pick up where Cotto's left off, as cotto did when after trinidad. And I don't consider him our "last hope". Rocky is a champ after a nice win over Salido. Sniper Predraza, although not as dynamic and standout at felix, is a great skilled boxer who has potential to win his first title in a few weeks. Let's see how things play out.

I have a question for Puerto Ricans (I'm assuming you're PR?), why doesn't Pedraza get a lot of love? I find it strange, usually most PR boxers get tons of support but there is barely talk about Pedraza. Like you said Felix is more dynamic and explosive, but I always thought Pedraza was better technically (my opinion). I wonder if Pedraza regrets not going to the Olympics. I'm sure Pedraza would have been the PR representative at Lightweight had he not gone pro. Remember Pedraza was at an all time high in the amateurs (he was probably top 3 or 5 in the World), I find it strange that he decided to turn pro when the Olympics were just around the corner. He surely would have been one of the favorites to medal (he would have most likely medaled, especially if he landed on the opposite side of the bracket to Loma and Toledo), I don't understand why he decided to make the jump.

But surely Pedraza will get support if he captures the belt in his next fight.

I assume it's due a lot to the lack of promotion he gets compared to felix. Everytime Pedraza fights he puts a good performance but nothing has really captured my eyes of that it factor. I mean he does move well and is a busy fighter, but obviously the power isn't explosive, nor does he show much of a standout personality. Maybe hasn't had a real chance to. Verdejo seems to have full backing and support from Bob Arum so he is in the lime light, and Bob believes in the kid.

Pedraza is well known in PR but he don't get as much promotion as Verdejo, Skills wise they both really good.
