Algieri would box his face off. Hes fighting world class guys not sparring partners taking a step forward. Porter is a good fighter IMO but i think Chris would beat him in a close match.

Porter is miles better than Algieri and Algieri's best win, Provodnikov.
"until Manny" ***ing idiot! You cant read? Wins dont only improve a fighters stock dummy. His loss to Khan sky rocketed his stock even higher. Prov Manny and Khan...in a row. What hes shown in all his fights is hes a force to reckon with. And improving. I understand some ******s cant think outside the box...it would help if you understood boxing a little bit better but you dont and thats ok.

            Apologies P.actard, misread your comment.

He certainly didn't show he's a 'force to be reckoned with' in any of those fights, he showed decent skill against Prov, good heart against Pac and good will against Khan, but none of those make him a force...

He's a pretty decent fighter, especially when you consider how late he got into the sport, but that's it, nothing more.

No problem. I rebuke my derogatory statements to you as well.

Now back to the topic. Im not saying Porter is a bum or shltty fighter. He had a shinning moment with Porter (who i think is a pretty good boxer) a up and comer making moves and gets schooled by Brook. I picked Brook to win that fight btw. Now thats all i can say about Brook against decent opposition. For Now!
Algieri...Who i really cant stand BUT have learned to respect is another thing. And YES decent skill, good heart and good will does make a fighter a force. Also he has a good chin and legs and uses the ring very well when he needs to. And he can be only judged on past fights... with the expectations that with, new trainer he will go back to the gym and progress for the better.
Porter is winning so normally you dont fix or adjust something that isnt broke. I think the fight would be a good solid boxing match. I just see Algieri coming off with the win. First chris needs a solid win or two before this fight can be made imo though!
