Comments Thread For: Khan Admits Physical Issues, Overtraining For Algieri

AMIR KHAN is going back to the drawing board in a bid to save his Floyd Mayweather dream.

The Bolton star was totally down in the dumps following his nervy points win over Chris Algieri on Friday night.

Khan reckons he walked out to the ring totally flat and that his 14 -week training camp had sapped him of his explosive energy.

The 28 year-old knows Mayweather would have watched him struggle and thought the Brit would be easy pickings.

Khan needs to realize that he lives in ****ing 2015. You can do something against overtraining, especially if you have a 14 week training camp. If it's true he should fire whoever does his S&C and nutrition.

maybe he just performed crap and is making excuses again, the way he spoke it looks as if he is trying to ditch his trainer as he's too gutless to blame himself

Khan need to give it up with the excuses he thought algebra would be a walk in the park because of his #48 fight algebra came out differently and made fight close stop calling for a Floyd fight for payday if you looked like crap on a 14 week camp you going look like a double horse **** going in to Floyd fight on a 10 week camp coming off Ramadan and that chin going be even more brittle then what it already is now

I thought Amir looked out of place Friday night. He did indeed look off from what were used to seeing. Eitherway, I don't think he could beat Jr.

His style is too generic. Nothing standout.

As he said, the Amir that was in the ring Friday night would have not beat Jr. He looked so mediocre and average, struggling at times against another mediocre. There was nothing impressive at all about him.

The question is if Khan just isn't that good or if Algieri is a lot better than we thought. All I know for sure is that a somewhat older Manny Pacquiao dominated Algieri recently and now that same Algieri lost a very close points decision to Khan (as a neutral observer I thought Algieri won the fight by landing more clean power punches and walking Khan down all night).

I think Khan needs to go back to the drawing board. Fighting Mayweather will earn him big money but it will totally expose him again.

Hahaha, Khan's got an excuse for everything.

Look like ****, blame it on over training.

Khan looked bad. What comes to mind is what he mentioned before when he would eat pastries and had to work his ass off to lose the extra weight.

                    The boy likes to eat.
