what if your favorite heavyweight won the WBC belt, would he also be a paper champ?

He'd be the no.1 'contender', as Freedom said.

Vitali wasnt waiting for anyone he was considered the best when he had the title ,Wilder is waiting on a guy who hasnt lost in ten years ,its a legit assessment .

Parker is a sick fighter, cant wait till he steps up. He's arguably more fluid and skillfull than Joshua, but doesnt have the same physical attributes. Big fight down the road.

Hughie Fury i dont see being that great. Defensively hes pretty sound and he seems like he has good footwork, but his accuracy is terrible. Against Rudenko he barely landed a clean punch despite dominating the fight. Probably reach world level, hes still very young so maybe he can improve.

Im really excited for the next gen of HW's. Maybe individually they will not be as good as Wlad, but I can see a lot of exciting fights. You can throw a rejuvenated Povetkin and Jennings into the mix too.

I agree with pretty much everything here ^, save the bit on Hughie. IMO, he was being brought on too quickly - he's the youngest out of the lot, he doesn't need to be rushed through.

No, he would be the WBC champion since he has the belt. Thats the problem, he calls wilder a paper champ. But if joshua for example won the belt right now, he wouldnt call him a "paper champ".

And you know this is true

I see a lot of people claiming Fury to be the second best HW in the world.

              The poll suggests otherwise.
