In terms of winning the fans over and Kell Brook's standing in WW right now, yes. However, take both their performances this weekend with a pinch of salt, Gavin is no Algieri It'll be a tough 50/50 fight but as Paul Smith said last night, it's only the people who don't watch much boxing that think Khan has a "glass chin".

I've seen most of Khan's fights since his debut and his chin weak. He got knocked down by Willie Limond ffs and was wobbled by Algieri.

I saw a lot of Americans in the press conference after Khan's fight asking about Brook - so obviously someone should know him. Add to that, Brook's last 3-4 fights have been on Showtime and I think someone must have watched his fights.

However, do you think Brook would be his toughest test to date? Was rather the question.

Yes your right, hard core boxing fans know who he is.... IMO he needs one more big name in his resume, back to your question yes and no.... Danny Garcia and Maidana were both tough test.... Garcia kind of ruined Khan, I think khan might be a little scared of Danny, why he no Rematch Danny??? That should of been on the top of his to do list....

It would be a good fight. Brook by KO or Khan by decision would be the likely outcomes.

As for best win - no, Maidana is more proven than Brook as is Devon Alexander.

How was Maidana more proven than Brook when he fought Khan? How? He was coming off a very bad performance against Chop Chop Corley and followed it up by another poor performance against an age old Morales.

Brook is a world champion with a recent win over a guy who was ranked #4 in the division, coincidentally coming off a destructive win over the guy who you claim is more "proven". Come on.

When he was 16, he won the world junior championship and was stopping people in the amateurs left, right and center. At 17, he won the silver in the olympics and stopped a few of the opponents if I remember correctly. His chin is by no means iron but it certainly not as bad as people make out. Against Prescott he got caught clean, David Tua was stopped bad in 15 seconds in the amateurs. Khan has a decent chin (or Maidana who had a 90% KO ratio should have stopped him with one of those bombs he landed) but bad recovery powers.

I watched his amateur fights, I was there when he had his last amateur fight. I've seen him fight live a couple of times in his early days - I know what i'm talking about with Khan.

There's no question he was an excellent amateur. But he was doing silly dances with headgear and 16oz gloves. He has a bad chin and bad recovery powers - but he does have balls and that's what kept him in the fight against Maidana.

I went to go see Brook vs Porter live...I like Porters style and I wanted to see what the uk Mates were talking about.... Brook is the real deal, the winner between him vs Thurman would be the #1 guy at 47 IMO (not including May and Pac).

realistically he will never fight anyone outside of the top rank stable again so he's basically irrelevant as a welterweight now anyway, regardless of what he's actually capable of

He's scared of the reaction/ridicule if he were to lose to Brook considering the domestic rivalry and words exchanged between them. I honestly think he would take Thurman over Brook for less money in order to avoid that happening.
