I think the comedy/duck aspect is Danny thinking 143lbs is not WW.


It's as if he convinced himself, that being at 143lbs, shields him from fighting a decent WW. He clings to this belief when he says silly things like, "when I move up to 147lbs" as if 143 and 147 are two distinct divisions.

Joking aside, Canelo should just move all the way up to 160 seeing as hes already proved himself at 154. He can make 160 comfortably and im guessing his stamina issues can only improve if he doesnt have to cut the extra weight. I think he can be more of a force at MW.

Surely Canelo needs to start fighting at 154 then?! I'm a big Canelo fan and admire the fact that he's prepared to fight the best. But this catchweight situation where Cotto can win a MW at 159lb limit etc has to stop. If Canelo is not prepared to fight at MW, then surely he should be making 154! Something needs to be done about this though, as it is too much now. The divisions and the belts are becoming redundant. Ridiculous.

Great post! I guess this statement is for "show of force." It will be interesting to see of this Cotto vs. Canelo bout is made. If I was Oscar, I would drop the lawsuits against Haymon, in exchange for Mayweather vs. Canelo 2 on September 12th! Canelo can get his rematch @ 154, and if he wins, he becomes the PPV King once Floyd retires!

Doesn't matter, Oscar ain't gonna win any of those Lawsuits anyway. Most definitely don't see Mayweather giving Golden Boy another payday, especially with the lawsuits, its too late in the ball game after you file the lawsuits.

Yea I know $$$ talks, but Im not fooling myself into believing anything is ever actually forgotten in business, These CEO's and Owners etc make a lot of $$$ and there considered smart etc but there people just like anyone, they hold grudges too.

Mayweather vs Canelo 2 is about as likely as Mayweather vs GGG, not gonna happen.
