Brook's next opponent... What are the odds it's another bum?

Man, the most common posters in Brook threads are Khan fans. It's getting sad.
The poll options don't even make sense; Hearn said they want Brook back in the ring at the end of August so who have we got, realistically? Khan will not fight him. Thurman fights 5 weeks before that. Pac won't be ready. Maidana looks about 200lbs and hasn't talked about fighting.
That leaves Bradley, Rios, Marquez (if he comes back)...would like Marquez, but expect Rios.Comment

Let me ask you: Why does Brook need to fight at the end of August? Why they can't just simply wait one plus month to have more credible opponents? Maybe because his hyena promoter knows that this will be a good excuse to duck the more meaningful fights? I don't know but that wouldn't surprise me so much. Based on "There weren't other available opponents at that time".

And no it doesn't leave Bradley. Bradley fights a title fight on the 27th of June. JMM maybe.
Rios? I can't believe how many people try to defend that fight already here.
Let's see Rios:
Abril outboxed and rocked him in lw
He was outboxed by Alvarado once
He was beaten by Pac 120-108
Chavez beat him till hegot DQ-d
His best win is fucking Mike Alvarado.
Rios got overrated after he beat Alvarado on their third fight in three rounds. Truth is, Alvarado is still not a "good win" and especially not that version who came out of two brutal beatings (Provo, JMM).
So foh with that Rios fight Hearn. That guy came out short when he stepped up like EVERY FUCKIN TIME. Don't try to sell him as a meaningful, good fight for an IBF champion just because he beat up a shell who was always a limited, C level fighter btw but still managed to outbox him once.
JMM, Guerrero or gtfoh...
But I still don't know why Brook has to fight at the end of August so badly.Last edited by HEND; 05-31-2015, 03:18 AM.Comment

JMM has already been mentioned as the fight Brook would prefer, it just depends on whether or not he wants to fight again and if Brook is a fight he wants.
I don't want to see Guerrero any more than Rios, they are a similar level of fighter. I wouldn't mind the fights, they just aren't ideal.
Hearn didn't say they had to go again in August, he said he would like to be out again late August/early September. Given that both JMM and Rios would be ready by then, it makes sense.Comment

Because I think 6-7 weeks prepare time (+ talks) wouldn't be enough to such a high level fight. Usually they don't make unifying fights within a few weeks after the new champion gets the belt. That rules Bradley out? How exactly?

In my opinion Guerrero is obviously above Rios. Rios is a C evel fighter while Guerrero is a solid -B (in ww).
If Mayweather fights JMM then I guess we will automatically get he Khan-Brook fight in October-November. If Mayweather fights Khan as I said I hope Brook fights Guerrero or JMM, but honestly after Algieri's postitive disappointment I would be okay with a Brook-Algieri fight too.Comment
