    Thurman vs Brook

How do you boys see this fight going? Imo this is the fight to make at 147, a real 50-50.

Thurman had an amateur rivalry with Charles Hatley, who has a similar style to Brook, he's been a disappointment as a pro because of his dodgy chin, but he was a very highly rated amateur a few years back and went 2-1 against Thurman in 3 fights. Thurman isn't the same fighter he was back then though, he's evolved and much better boxer now, so not much can be made of that.

In terms of who has the better tools, I'd say Brook has the better jab, he's more compact, throws straighter punches, he's more patient and composed. Thurman is more mobile and has better footwork, he hits harder and is more awkward/unpredictable.

Who've they fought with similar styles to eachother? I don't think Brook has fought anyone with a similar style to Thurman, not on an elite level anyway, but Thurman's fought Chaves, who I think has a pretty similar style to Brook (a relatively stationary boxer-puncher with a solid right hand and good countering ability).

Chaves was getting the better of Thurman early on in that fight until Thurman started using his legs and boxing more, that was a green Thurman but the fight was competitive.

Anyway, as a Thurmite I'd be worried about this fight, I think stylistically the match up favours Brook, I think it would be a chess match type of fight but with fireworks and excitement, similar to DeGale vs Dirrell. But there are too many variables to make a prediction based on just styles.

This fight needs to happen. WAR KEITH!
