Kell Brook performance shows elite class, as potential foe for Mayweather.

Kell Brook has yet again made a statement much like his various other counter parts to put himself in the running for a Mayweather Super fight. Unlike his other British contemporary, who struggled to make a definitive statement against the surprisingly game Chris Algeri.

Fact remains, his, Kell's, opposition wasn't top notch, BUT, it's what one does when you are not matched against elite competition. You make it a short night's work. Kell Brook, Keith Thurman, Manny Pacquiao, Miguel Cotto, Danny Garcia, Andre Berto, GGG, All are Viable opponents for various reasons and fans would come to watch Mayweather career come to a close in September.

It's not the opponent, per se , it's how you defeat them.

Kell is a top class fighter. He's classy, skilled, quick, powerful, accurate...just a top fighter.

Tonight was nothing but a sharpening session though, just staying busy. I don't think he deserves a Mayweather fight yet, still a big win from being deserving.

Agreed, Granted Gavin was very poor, but the accuracy, speed, timing and shot selection is all still top class.

Well, he is a 147er who has a title in the division. Kell against class our outlcassed opposition, is consistent.

I know what your saying, but consider, Mayweather has one fight left. He might not be the only deserving fighter, but he's consistently head and shoulders above others.

shows elite class, as potential foe for Mayweather...............by beating a guy who failed at European level against "Sugar" Leonard Bundu or was it his show stopping performance against Tin Tin Can that sealed the deal? "Unbreakable doe".

Agreed. He did much better than Khan.

If those are your thoughts, you have the right to say that, but his level of garbage is consistent, and perfect for that matter.

I believe Kell is clearly the 2nd best fighter in the division, behind Mayweather

However, there's still work to do to be fully deserving of Mayweather. That same statement holds true for Khan and Thurman, they need a proper legit win at 147 to deserve that fight.
