I hadn't seen too much of AJ until now, just a fight or two. Very impressive finish. Glad the ref didn't call it off at the end of the 1st round as there would have been ****** comments that it was stopped too early.
The competition has still been limited though. He did what he had to do in an impressive manner. It's difficult to judge AJ much as it was virtually all one way traffic. His offence is spectacular. He cut off the ring reasonably well.
As long as they keep stepping up the opposition you can't complain. I agree that Areola would be a step up and then Stiverne level or one of the 2nd level eastern europeans.
Comparing to other Brit heavyweights before I was thinking he had a Bruno hype attached but the reality is he is not as stiff as Bruno, closer to Lennox potential. Fury looks to have better movement and better jab but difficult to compare due to AJ's limited competition.Comment

He's not learning anything by blasting out these no hopers early. I want to see him tested.
I'm not asking for him to fight the top echelon fighters but how about these guys:
Malik Scott
Manuel Charr
Bermane Stiverne
David Price
Chris Arreola
Artur Szpilka
Amir Mansour
Guys that will punch back, that aren't going to stand there and take a beating.Comment

I'm very impressed with Joshua's short combinations, there aren't many big men around today who can put punches together like that. In this thin HW division Joshua is clearly a top 5 fighter.Comment
