Linares has become a complete fighter since his losses. I wonder why he doesn't wear Reyes gloves. they might give him a little more pop in those shots. Brilliantly skilled and always a pleasure to watch!

Pot shotted?..! Linares was throwing loads of flurries during the fight but he was getting timed so easily by Mitchell... several times.

Yes linares is so much on a higher level he lost to sergio thompson and demarco and ran off to japan and has feasted on bums since, how even does he have the belt, maybe his promoter gave him it . Id pick burns over linares.

Brilliant fight! If you missed it make sure you get to see it on replay somewhere.
Two very good fighters showed great heart. Mitchell has Linares down in the 5th I think - he missed an opportunity by not following up with enough aggression but I don't think Linares was severely hurt just dazed and he was fine by the following round. Got to hand it to Linares - he isn't elite but would give any other lightweight a tough fight. He defended in a lion's den and got the job done with a spectacular finish.

yeah i agree at the end he was setting up 3-2's down the pipe. That's not quite a two piece but it's just to set up the right. This all being at the end, during the fight i totally agree with you i was just talking about the end.

Yeah because you couldn't pick Mitchell.

And as I said Linares has become a complete fighter since his losses.

That fight was well in had from start to finish vs Mitchell.

Demarco fight, was the bloodiest fight I have ever seen in my life, and he looked incredible in that fight.

Thompson fight, they put him in with a puncher before his cuts even had time to heal, or he he had time to get his head back on his shoulders.

He has been plagued by poor management.

A fragile chin, and fragile skin, but his skills aren't questionable. His talent and speed, combinations etc, are remarkable.

He isn't much different than Amir Khan, except he has more talent.

If they were managed the same, he would be a global superstar as well.

He was suppose to fight Omar Figeroua for it but he moved up and vacated the title. Don't be mad bro.
