Watching Amir Fight Is Like A Poor Man's Orthodox Pacquiao W/ A Jab

am I the only one who sees this. No matter who trains Amir he will fight in the filipino style. Bounce in, spam flurries, bounce out

Virgil was able to show him a handful of new tricks like fighting inside, but for the most part he like manny stylistically rather than Ward

Amir struggles with counterpunchers like a filipino do (Floyd > manny, Rigo > Donaire, Marquez > manny, etc). We saw this when Garcia laid his azz out.

I don't think they fight alike at all. Pacquiao is much better. Pacquiao throws 6 to 10 punch combinations from all angles and uses great footwork to come at his opponent from different directions. Khan comes straight in with no more than 2 or 3 fast punches and then he grabs the guy in an illegal attempt to avoid return fire. Pacquiao never grabs and holds like both Khan and Mayweather do often to excess. Pacquiao is always coming forward while Khan is usually moving backward. Last night Khan spent about 90% of the fight going backward with Algieri coming forward. Algieri said Khan's punching power doesn't even compare with Pacquiao's power because it is so much less. Maybe Khan is a starving to death, homeless man's Pacquiao.

Absolutely right. Roach turned him into a poor man's Pacquiao, and Khan can't shake it. People always talk like Khan is more skilled or fundamentally sound than Pacquiao and it's ludicrous. I don't know what they're talking about.

Dude you just got your thread deleted by a mod, and you make a new one even more ignorant than the last? with this filipino style garbage?

nobody fights like Pacquiao be it filipino, black, white, etc you are judging an entire group of people from one man while trying to belittle them.

how are you not even banned yet?

Filipino style? You just mentioned Pacquiao and Donaire who are complete opposites.

He seems to clinch and wrestle more under Virgil and he's a bit more responsible when throwing 4-5 punch flurries, but still he's largely the same guy.

Also the Filipino "spamming" style that Khan uses has a name. It's called Ambush fighting.
