Algieri clearly lost. At best a case could be made for a draw, however, he was not effective in his aggression and never could take control of the fight. Kahn set the pace most of the night and was mostly always in command of the action. I think that was the best version of Algieri we will ever see. You can't coach power, and Algieri simply does not have the power to really hurt anyone. That is a liability in professional boxing.

Don't know why people are surprised that Algieri fought aggressively against Khan. The answer is so simple. Khan hates inside fighting. Have you forgotten his fight against Peterson where Khan was penalized twice for excessive shoving and pushing? That's obviously their game plan and the Peterson fight Algieri's team kept watching.

What did Khan do? He won the fight. I hate when opposing trainers act like they don't know what wins fights. Good effort by Algieri, but lets not act like he won the fight cuz he put forth a good effort.
