  • Comments Thread For: Jackson: Amir Khan Ran and Held - What Did Khan Do?

Barclays Center, Brooklyn - The man that received the most praise from Friday night’s PBC on Spike card may have been John David Jackson who took over the helm of training Chris Algieri for his bout with Amir Khan. In one fight and one camp, it certainly looked like Algieri was a more improved fighter and Jackson feels that’s a testament to Algieri and his willingness to learn.

khan is just avg, instead of showing some skills fighting close he gets his opponents in headlocks, he is just popular and we shouldnt confuse being popular with being good

this epidemic of running and head-locking your opponents in boxing NEEDS TO END!!!!!!!!!! this is not boxing. refs should be instructed to be more strict on these coward tactics. this is not sweet science and it's killing boxing.

if you want to see pure brilliant sweet science that's not full of cowardice watch rigondeaux. it's a shame that floyd and khan are praised by media while they all bash rigondeaux. maybe if rigondeaux was american or british he would be considered one of the best instead of hated. makes me completely sick of boxing.

Khan would be such an easy fight for Floyd it's almost comical to think he is the man most likely to get that shot.

Khan had him in like 8-9 headlocks and if this was UFC, he could have easily pulled guard and locked in a guillotine. That's how tight his grip was. If this was WWE, he would have repeatedly delivered vicious DDT's to poor Chris. Lol

This is one of the rare times in boxing where despite winning the fight the winners stock fell while the loser's stock went up. Algieri made Khan look bad and even though he ain't get the win he will get another big payday fight.

Khan fought a mayweather type fight. Hold, move, run, counter. Control space. Landed more threw 100 less. Won 8-4. Algerie much improved guerro would be nice both aggressive
