What a good scrap last night. I was certain this would look like khan vs Malignaggi. But damn, Algieri came to fight and just keeps getting better and better.

I thought it was a tough fight to score. Infact, I need to go back and re watch /score it. Khans combos were fast his boxing was good. But Algieri's effective aggression was great. If only he had serious pop we might have had a KO2.

For a guy with a very limited boxing background. He just keeps getting better. What do you think his ceiling is?

Agreed. There was a couple jabs he threw that just missed that I thought would have put khan on his ass

Yeah he lost to a guy that most people on this site consider to be a rubbish fighter, yet "good lord he's good"

        No. He's average.

Khan may have won the fight (I didn't think so, I scored it a draw) but Algieri is the real winner. Today everyone is talking about how impressive Chris looked last night, his trainer JDJ and potential future matchups. People are genuinely excited about his guy - Algieri came into this fight in tremendous shape and fought a really inspiring intensive and exciting fight.

If this is the new Chris Algieri I definitely want to see more of him. Love to see him in against Rios, Bradley or even rematch against Pacquaio

I think Algieri-Guerrero would be a good scrap.

Showed great heart to fight at that intensity, he wasn't worried about being tired later on, he just wanted to give it his all. Great performance.

His ceiling? Interesting question. I think he can get a welterweight title under him, with his size advantages, he'd be a tough ask for Porter or Alexander. I reckon he'd have a good scrap with Brook, who knows, maybe his size can squeeze him a win.

I like how versatile Algieri can be, he has shown boxing ability in the past and an ability to box on the back foot, now he showed some terrific offensive ability. Khan isn't an easy guy to let off punches against but he did it quite well. If only he had more power.

Typical reactionary NSB stuff lol. Algieri knew he wasn't in the ring with a beast last night. He is who he is and Khan is still Khan.
