This was a real good fight. Fortuna was there to be taken late but Vazquez didn't have it in him.

Vazquez was landing sneaky body shots on Fortuna and it had its effect in the later rounds. This was a very competitive and exciting fight. I was thoroughly impressed with both men.

Another observation. After round 5, Fortuna mainly sat back and kind of let Vasquez work, almost getting a second wind and then stole rounds, but it worked! The last 20 second flurries had enough pop on them to erase whatever Vasquez did for the first 2 and a half minutes of those rounds.

Yes, it was sloppy as hell. I couldn't really enjoy it for that reason.

Fortuna is the lightweight Edison Miranda. Sloppy punches, good power and shaky defense. He's the type of fighter that if you hurt him or knock him down you basically won the fight because I don't think he knows how to hold and will go to war. This will make him a vicious KO waiting to happen.
