Comments Thread For: Golovkin's Manager Eyes Chudinov, Fedor Wants Ward

It looks like the sky is the limit for newly crowned WBA super middleweight champion Fedor Chudinov (13-0, 10 KOs), who comes off the biggest success of his career – a road decision win over former four-time middleweight champion Felix Sturm.

According to his promoter Vladimir Hryunov, the Russian fighter is being offered some big names around his weight class.

If he beats Chudniov, and it'll put him in line to face Ward. I'm fine with the match-up tbh, it's one that makes sense as a debut 168lb bout. I still don't understand how it makes sense for 3G to immediately face the best fighters at a new weight.

If he beats Chudinov and drop the belt is a duck. He better think carefully what he's doing.

If he fights at 160 and tries to unify the division,he's fighting in an empty division. If he fights canelo, cotto, or Lara,he's picking on smaller fighters. If he goes up to 168,and tries to fight with a champ not named ward, its a bad fight. At this point GGG should just do whatever he wants, because haters will always hate.

Chudinov is a super middle and WBA regular champion which basically means he's a springboard for Golovkin vs Ward. Shouldn't those of you who want that fight be happy?

I still think Golovkin-Canelo and Kovalev-Ward are more even/intriguing fights.

Good. Fringe fighters at 168 are better than fringe fighters at 160.

Bear in mind this is coming from Chudinov's promoter, does anyone really think Golovkin is fighting a SMW in Germany in September?

Maybe it's true, but I'm skeptical.
