Comments Thread For: Daily Bread Mailbag: Ward-GGG, Bradley, Roach

The Daily Bread mailbag returns with another edition, as Stephen "Breadman" Edwards discussed Timothy Bradley vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr., thoughts on Andre Ward facing Gennady Golovkin, Freddie Roach's comments regarding the Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao fight and more.

Hey what's the good word Bread?

Got a question? Do you think Timothy Bradley is one of the more deserving fighters to take on Floyd Mayweather Jr? I know the talk is either Amir Khan or Keith Thurman but I look at his resume and see a guy who has one of the better resumes of current active fighters. I know it was a set back vs Chaves (I thought Desert Storm won), and his won vs Pacman was questionable (I can see how they scored again Pac but thought he lost after the final bell) but even then he seems to have warranted a shot. I think in this instance its a matter of money since it seems he doesn't bring a lot and the fact that he is with Top Rank, but he has done as much as anyone at 147 and isn't in that many boring fights, if we over look Alexander. What do you think? [Click Here To Read More]

I agree it would have been so much simpler, more humble and respectable for both Roach and Pac to just say hey we lost, he was a better man tonight. That would have went a LOT further then the poor sportsmanship path they took. I think years from now they will look back and regret all of this. I think that is another reason Floyd stayed quiet, he just let Freddie dig a hole he could not talk his way out of. Sad part is he brought Pac into that hole and now Pac looks like a liar and a sore loser. You could even see them at the post-fight press conference concocting stuff and Arum was stammering and going um um um through his speech. They even got up off the dais and left when Floyd arrived. Just classless classless behavior and their true colors were seen in this fight. I personally will not be watching another fight again that involves Pac or Roach, not a chance in hell. I will just read about the fight online after it happened. They are both de****able to me now and I have zero respect for either of them.
