Tucked away nicely on the Amir Khan v Chris Algieri undercard tonight, a local fighter will look to make waves with an upset. Leo Pla 5-4-2, 2KOs takes on undefeated prospect Keith Tapia, 14-0, 9KOs. Pla was brought in as the ‘sacrificial lamb’ for undefeated prospect Milos Pantelic last August and walked away with a majority draw.
Pantelic’s team decided upon a rematch to remove the blemish. Bad move as Fidel Martinez dedicated his time to training Pla and he improved vastly while training at Grudge Training Center.
