    People will call it running regardless, if its a fighter they dislike. Period.

    For example the same people saying Mayweather "ran" from Pacquiao are the exact same people that thought Lamont Peterson put on a boxing clinic in the first 6 rounds of the Garcia fight where he ran circles around the ring

      There are a wide variety of styles. If you don't enjoy watching a fighter with a certain style, don't pay for it. Simple.

      I mentioned earlier that actual instances of running are few and far between, and they aren't exactly a big issue. Not to me anyway.

        Not all pro boxers generate a fair amount of money. Those who do, have been in the game for a long time, and you should know what to expect from those fighters (styles) before you give them your money.

        It's time "fans" start holding themselves accountable for what they do with their own goddamn money.

          Running = Dirrell/Stevens
          Boxing = Mayweather/Pacquiao

            its very simple.

            running is just staying away, not merely slowing the pace but removing all action from the fight.

            movement is a cornerstone of boxing, used to control the fight. the pace as mentioned, but also the ring, the distance and your very adversary.

            the difference is simple, running as mentioned is just defensive. putting yourself at a distance and/or angle where your opponent cant hit you. moving is putting yourself in good offensive positions as well, the right distance and angle to land shots of your own.

            at times a good fighter is bound to just move out of the way to get out of a compromising position, but if you are truly running that would be all you did. you cant win a fight running, thats why the argument that any fighter ran in victory is so ridiculous.

                RUNNING is evading punches with the use of your feet by getting out of distance, but not countering or setting up anything. simply using ur feet to get outa striking distance. FOOLS

                  no, if you dont want to watch guys who simply strive to win above all else.. dont! fans choose to tune in, or not.

                  fighters have every right to choose whatever style they want, if fans dont like it they shouldnt watch it. then those fighters wouldnt be generating money from fans. but if they are that means somebody enjoys their style, or are too ****** to catch on to what their style is. either way the fighter isnt to blame.

                  you cant go to the store, buy some milk and then return 20 min later furious its not a loaf of bread. you bought the milk dummy, you should have been paying attention to what you where getting.

                  i love watching lara fight while i dont like watching provodnikov fight at all. you know what i do? i watch lara fight instead of provodnikov.

                    I consider it running when one guy jumps back every time the other jumps forward but majority of the time doesn't counter or come back with his own offense, and when he does, it's weak and something he does from as far away as he possibly can, thus the punch just touches the target and doesn't travel at all passed before he again quickly takes off after the potshot.

                    Basically a game of "tag", and thus I consider it running.
