Khan, Porter, Brook, Thurman all provide a tougher fight.

Peterson has never fought at 147 and should not even have been a world champion at 140.

I disagree and I thought he lost to Garcia by giving away rounds by staying miles away and running. He is not in Mayweather's class at all. He lost to the last two rated fighters he fought. He lost to Matthysse by 3rd round KO and to Garcia on points while beating an unknown nobody in his last three fights. Mayweather is a big strong welterweight with a huge reach while Peterson is a 140 pounder without much punch. I don't think Peterson stands a chance of beating Mayweather. A big full welterweight who can box and punch with speed and stamina like Brook and Thurman would have a much better chance to beat Mayweather.

No, where does Peterson have the advantage? He isn't gonna outbox Mayweather because he isn't good at that to begin with as history has shown. Not gonna beat Mayweather on the inside since Mayweather is the more refined, craftier, physically stronger guy. Peterson who I've considered to be an underrated puncher would still be the lightest hitter Mayweather has faced since?

I see nothing to suggest it.

Peterson got outboxed by Bradley. I think Floyd would easily beat him.

I disagree. Wlad would clearly be Floyd's toughest possible fight right now.

Peterson is chinny and vulnerable. Floyd would have no problem finding range with his right hand. If khan can drop Peterson with ease then so can Floyd.

Why not Danny Garcia? He beat Peterson, he beat Khan silly. Why not? He beat Matthyse, he beat Morales twice, he beat Holt and Campbell. He's never lost.

I know he's had several close fights, but Garcia is very good at adapting in the ring, and although I think Mayweather beats him easily, who below 154 has earned a shot at Floyd more than Garcia?
