2015 Hall of Famer Ray 'Boom Boom' Mancini is very impressed with IBO/WBA middleweight champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin. He sees him as the best fighter in the sport right now.

Golovkin is the mandatory challenger to WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto, who defends his world title next Saturday night against Daniel Geale at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

I agree with boom boom on everything but the most exciting is Rios vs Provodnikov. But the promoters would probably be charged with murder cause one of the fighters would leave the ring in a coffin while the other would end up like Ali instantly

I doubt that Canelo will get any closer to GGG than Mayweather to Cotto would; hopefully, I am wrong, but until it happens, I stand my ground. As for why, here it is: For Canelo to lose a decision to Mayweather is one thing (shady judging by C. J. Ross had them scored even), but getting knocked out by GGG would clearly put things into perspective, and that is a perspective which Canelo does not want to be on his record.

Mayweather would easily outclass GGG! There is no way GGG would have a chance against money.

GGG and Canelo are roughly the same size but Canelo is just as good a boxer then GGG; so I see pretty much the same outcome as Floyd vs Canelo!

Sugar Ray after 4 years of retirement without a tuneup fight fought hagler the middleweight champ. Oh yea and won. God forbid Floyd fights GGG who will even come to 154 a weight he did before. That is what seperate's legends from cherry pickers they want the best around.

Kid yourself if you want, but Canelo's poor footwork alone keeps him from fighting at the same level as GGG (and let's not get into the efficacious use of power). Wasn't Cannel's lack of footwork against Floyd obvious to you?
