The things Floyd used to defeat Manny were timing distance and ****ing accurate counter shots. All of which would still be there if Manny was 100% which I think he was close too.

my thing is this... Arum said it was an old injury from 2008 that he re aggravated in camp, then he switched to it happening during the fight. Roach said he tweaked it during the fight and Pac is kind of back and forth with it... so why the need for the pain numbing shot before the fight? what is the "official" story?

You know when Pac is throwing the jabs in your avatar, you can see the pain in Pacs face as he throws them and grimacing. It makes it look like Floyds punches is causing him pain, but its obvious the shoulder.
That's why it was so important Pac tired to be poker faced during the fight as the judges would wrongly assume it was Floyd causing discomfort to Pac. On the other hand when Pac landed on Floyd. It looked like Floyd had put his unprotected hand in a roaring fire etched on his face.
Pac wouldn't have koed Floyd though, just won a wide decision
Floyd needs to rematch Pac. Preferbly for his 50th fight.

That's why the rematch needs to happen. The judges thought Floyd was doing better than he actually was. When Pac used his right to jab and stuff it was followed by a grimace on his face as Floyd countered.
