    Britain's former world champion Amir Khan is aiming to punch his ticket to a bout with Floyd Mayweather with a victory over Chris Algieri in a non-title welterweight fight on Friday.

    Khan, the former unified light-welterweight world champion who headlines a card at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, is reckoned to have the inside track on a fight with unbeaten pound-for-pound king Mayweather.

    Although he's been chasing Mayweather for years, Khan insisted he won't look past Algieri.

              If Algieri can beat Khan, i won't have a problem with him fighting Floyd.

              Floyd has been doing this since 1996, I think he's earned a light touch for his last fight ever. Algieri should make it interesting for 1 round before Floyd figures him out.

              A good send-off fight if I do say so myself.

                      The difference between Algieri and Khan is that Algieri is fighting for a shot at Mayweather while Khan thinks he is entitled to a shot at Mayweather.

                              If Algieri defeats Khan, will Khan try to secure a fight with Brook next in the hope of cashing in on a big payday or will he revert back to his usual pattern of fighting journeymen and stiffs who have recently lost such as Soto-Karass or Leonard Bundu?

                                  Even floyd with no morals would never fight algerie even if he won every round like manny did he would never score 6 knock downs. He got exposed as a punching bag unless he ices khan we might see it amazing what a nightmare this sport we love is
