Gennedy Golovkin "who wants a fight at Wembly"

Yeah but it's Wembley Stadium. It holds 80,000 people. It's in London. Froch is from Nottingham - it would sell out the City Ground. He can't just fight anyone and sell out Wembley Stadium.
The reason the Groves fight sold was because of the controversy from the first fight and the fact that they were two Brits. It captured the imagination of the casual fans who have no idea who Gennady Golovkin is.Comment

The City Ground in Nottingham holds 30-40k so I'd guess all those fans would show up from Froch's home town. Then maybe another 10k. So about half the stadium would be empty and that would look horrible.
Golovkin should maybe have a fight over beforehand here because you can't fight at Wembley till the summer anyway.
I wouldn't be getting my hopes up for this happening though.Comment

hey, if we can make threads about Joe Calzaghe coming out of retirement for one fight vs Froch, we can daydream about a GGG-Froch showdown

Yeah lol. I can't see how they can do 80,000 with Golovkin. It did 80,000 with Groves because what you said.Yeah but it's Wembley Stadium. It holds 80,000 people. It's in London. Froch is from Nottingham - it would sell out the City Ground. He can't just fight anyone and sell out Wembley Stadium.
