If the CW wasn't important, why did Cotto insist on having it before agreeing to fight Geale?

Until he fights and beats a top 160lb fighter, at 160lbs, Cotto is a paper champion and a pretender at MW.
Your audacity knows no bounds. Boiling down. Lol. No s h I t. If he had to "boil down from 180 to make weight how da**** is he a mw weight. It's called cheating. Or ducking people in your real weight class. Cotto and floyd essentially walk into the scales and gain a few pounds on fight night. Ggg geale et al boil down do the can destroy smaller folk while avoid the wards.

And btw. People have literally died in the ring from trying to boil down to far. Wtf. Get off your weight class trip.

        Austin Trout

Seems like he wins the fights he should win and when things are in his favor but loses when he steps up to better competition.
Really? Floyd & pac are literally 1 & 2 in this era. Cotto lost to both no shame in that. Plastercheato **** him and he fought the wrong fight for the trout fight imo. and you still haven't proved anything.

you saying that trout was a "step up" in competition?

If Cotto retired last year, he would still be a HOF fighter. Canelo and GGG would be icing on the cake and notches closer to ATG status but not necessary for Cotto's place in the sport. 4 division champion who fought them all and did it his way.

LOL. Con-tto stay ducking Canelo & GGG. What a ****ing *****. I would love to fight him for free. I'd knock him out in front of his boyfriend. He'd be laying there unconscious in a pink shirt. I'd take him out back and do him like old yeller. Just like Pacquiao did. Beat him like he ****ed my lawn up.

Cotto is saying that he is the one who decides who he fights, when he fights and where he fights -- not his opponents, the sanctioning bodies or HBO. He is saying that no sanctioning body is going to tell him who he must fight or when because he can always vacate the belt and fight for another sanctioning body's belt. HBO is not going to tell him who he can fight because he can always go to Showtime and make the same amount of money fighting any opponent. And fighters like Alvarez are not going to tell him that he has to fight them on a certain date like the first Saturday in May or the second Saturday in September and Alvarez is not going to dictate the terms because Cotto is the A-side in any fight involving Mayweather or Pacquaio.

Cotto is not afraid of Alvarez or GGG. He is simply saying that they and everyone else must realize that he is the A-side in either fight and will dictate the terms.
what makes him the A side vs canelo though?

Canelo sells better and gets higher ratings then Jotto does

Cotto only needs to beat Geale, if he stops him I would predict it to come in the mid to late rounds. I don't see Cotto blitzing him the way GGG did at all though.

Cotto vs. Canelo and then we'll see how the cards fall. I know that sucks for Golovkin but I expect this to be a good process of elimination. I don't think Cotto vs. GGG will still be a talking point after Cotto vs. Alvarez.

Thats because they, like I said before, are the 1 & 2 in this era. If anything Mosley if HOF bound.
