Virgil Hunter takes Amir Khan, 30-3 (19), into a 12-round non-title fight against Chris Algieri, 20-1 (8), at New York's Barclays Centre on Friday night with the unshakeable belief that his boxer will one day glide into the International Boxing Hall of Fame.
The 28-year-old joined Hunter after a shocking KO loss to Danny Garcia in 2012; the L.A.-based trainer has added some defensive nous to Khan’s game and believes that he is a few wins away from immortality.

These Khan worshippers are as deluded as the idiot himself but if you laugh at what they say and how they try to twist his lies it's easy to realise they are as transparent as the Con boy himself.Old glass jaw hall of fame , give me a break....Ha,ha....Lol.Comment

If Rios beat Algerie he will also be HOF status... Get reall, I'm beginning to lose a little respect for Hunter as a trainer. Maybe Ward needs to break camp because this guy is not all there. I kno that he wants the Floyd sweepstake cuz he's close to retirement age. But there are other was to promote a fighter as long as it has truth and not a joke. And hunter must be joking if he thinks public buys this to grmand a Mayweather money fight.Comment

Corrales, now let's name the future hall of famers he's beat, hernandez, castillo, gatti, judah, Dela hoya, hatton, marquez, mosely, cotto, canelo (and yes I think canelo will be future hall of fame is he keeps doing what he's doing) and Pacquiao. Not to mention the current and former champions he's fought that might not ever be hall of fame worthy, has khan even fought 12 current or former world champions in his career let alone hall of famers?Comment

To me Floyd is a great fighter but God damn it there is always something with his fights catch weight, fighting a guy over his prime, making a guy not wear a particular gloves, big ring, dehydration clauses, fighting only in Las Vegas knowing he brings millions in so obviously he will get the benefit of the doubt in close decisions.
You mentioned Castillo but he lost the first fight. So we don't have to debate that it. Now I also believe that he won the other close fights against Cotto and De la Hoya and Pacquiao (Pacquiao screwed it up injury or too much bible). To me the biggest enigma in boxing is Floyd he has so many skills but he has to always have some kind of God damn advantage. this taints his legacy.
I also would have loved him to have faced Mosley, Paul Williams, De la Hoya, Freitas, Spadafora, etc, in their primes.
Also I think he should fight more "prime" black fighters he didnt in his career and he wont now. Why cant he give another brother a shot? Scared another brother will steal his shine? He should fight Andrade, Lara or Thurman next. Stop with the not enough money crap. This argument is really racist. If he fights Garcia next he will be fighting another flat footed fighter just greatComment
