  • Comments Thread For: DeGale: Me and Dirrell Are Only Two Behind Andre Ward

Mapping out the super middleweight division, IBF world champion James DeGale (21-1, 14KOs) tabs WBA champion Andre Ward as the obvious division leader. Then he rates himself and last Saturday's opponent, Andre Dirrell, as the next best of the bunch.

Ward returns, for the first time since the fall of 2013, on June 20th when he faces Paul Smith at a catch-weight of 172-pounds.

    I disagree.....

    1) Ward
    2) Froch

    Then Groves/Degale/Dirrell.....

    Then the rest.....

I have never rated Abraham at 168, and nobody else has solid top-tier wins.

I think he's forgetting the guy he lost to and the guy who knocked that guy out... Intentionally of course

Yea, Groves has been in with Froch twice, and he holds a win over Degale.

Hard to " accidentally " forget that

Because their rivalry is so public, Degale will never get that monkey off his back by forgetting to mention Groves. They will have to do it again before Degale can move on, but he has time to force that rematch.

You'd think Groves would love the opportunity to get his hands on that IBF belt.
