Let's look at some of Floyd's former opponents, how badly was he killed on the site for cherry picking?
Fought Maidana - a guy Amir Khan already beat.
Fought Ortiz - a guy who was beat by Maidana.
Fought Guerrero whose previous 3 opponents were Berto, Aydin and Michael Katsidis!
Fought Marquez by making him come up 2 weight divisions in his first 147 fight.
Fought Canelo at a catchweight.
etc.etc..etc..
Floyd can be killed for cherry picking in all his fights. No matter who you pick at 147 - Brook? Thurman? Too inexperienced, not enough big title fight experience so Floyd = cherry picking.
Floyd's just that good, any fighter at 147 could be viewed as a cherry pick if you want them to be. But Khan is the biggest threat and that's why Floyd Sr thinks he'll beat Floyd.

What if Algieri just kicks him in the face and then retires! And Algieri says, "for me boxing scene.com fans."

The biggest indicator that Khan would cause Floyd some problems - is easy to see - it's that Floyd won't fight him. Use your brains people - he's been avoiding him for ages. Khan was even promised a fight and Floyd effectively pulled out which took Khan out of boxing for a year waiting around for it.
I actually think Khan was a big reason Floyd accepted the Manny fight. He had to pick one of the two. Floyd is a smart fighter but he picks his opponents and often handicaps them. (e.g. Canelo). And there's a reason the Pacquiao fight only happened 5 years on...
Does anyone remmeber the poll Floyd ran on Twitter for his fans to pick his next opponent out of Maidana and Khan? Well Khan won, and guess who Floyd chose - Maidana.
Khan may be delusional but don't be making Floyd's excuses for him.

Collazo never once complained about it in press reports and Collazo is not even known to be a clincher. Luis is a seasoned 147... food for thought
Khan had a gameplan he stuck to - fight in flurries and spoil Collazo's work if he gets too close by clinching if necessary. Klitschko does that all the time and never gets a single point taken off. Mayweather did that to Pacquiao repeatedly and didn't have a point taken. Porter clinched the hell out of Alexander. and vice versa at times - no points taken. Brook clinched Porter continuously and didn't have a point taken. And so on.. the examples are endless so why make a big deal out of Khan clinching Collazo?Last edited by FlatLine; 05-25-2015, 03:46 PM.
