      why?

-Rigo brings no extra money to the table; about whatever you could accredit to Chris Avalos, without the US TV attention.
-Caribe Promotions will likely push to have Rigo paid as if he was the reason that the fight was selling tickets
-Rigo would make for an utterly tactical bout
-Frampton still has the massive Quigg fight in the lurch

Why fight a desperately tough fight, for shorter money than the Avalos fight, with your big cashout fight still to be had, and Rigondeaux really not elevating your star with the bout?

Rigo stinks up the fight, and even if Frampton just edges him, you've just put a cool blanket on the Frampton-Quigg money fight.

Sounds like you're protecting a fighter with failed logic...

First of all, don't be suckered into the propaganda that a Rigo bout can't sel, it's beyond cliche. All of Frampton's fans would flood the Odyssey if a Rigo bout were to happen. You're making it sound as if Americans flew in to watch the Avalos fight..lol...or Mexicans flying in to watch the Cazares fight. Truth is ANY promotion for a Rigo and Frampton would be huge!! Unless Irish boxing fans don't follow anything of boxing and don't know what a WBA Super, WBO, and Ring belts are. Frampton's IBF would be on the line and all of Rigo's belts would be on line. Huge fight. Of course a Frampton and Quigg bout is huge, but those closwns continue to delay reasoning... Plus the master Rigo would whoop both of those clowns. I think it's UK culture not wanting to watch a Cuban fighter do easy work on their hoodlums.

However, I get the picture. It's safer for the managers to protect their investment and dodge Rigo. It's not unusual for boxing's best.

Imagine that on the undercard of Froch vs Golovkin at Wembley

That would be a great idea since it guarantees a sold out crowd even though I already think and said that a Rigo vs Frampton would sell out anyways if it were promoted right. The Jackals have just as much reputable value, and technically, given the belts at stake it would be a main event. I can't imagine it on an undercard, or at least not being agreed by the Frampton camp - they'd want to be a main event. Don't get me wrong though. I would love for Rigo to get that exposure on such a main event. If they can justify numbers like the Matthysse vs Garcia bout undercard under Floyd and Canelo then why not.

i've got rigondeaux but frampton has as good a chance as anybody at beating him. even in the donaire schooling, rigo was dropped. i'm sure frampton would be looking to replicate that feat and then capitalise on it better than donaire managed to

Rigondeuax said he was sitting out his contract and is likely going to sign with Haymon or Roc.

Rigo wins but hes on the decline i feel frampton has a decent punchers chance. He should smash scott quigg first (with ease) if he gets past kiko martinez then take on rigondeaux and hope he connects if he wins he'll be an irish warlord
