I feel kind of sad for the Porters. Here we have a good father who supported his child and stayed with him from the beginning brought him up the right way and became a champion (albeit against one of the biggest scrubs Malinaggi). But he needs a better trainer, Porter does. He has to throw more straight punches down the pike. Not that caveman crap he used against Brook. But we live in a society where bad is esteemed and immorality is looked upon as a good thing. Broner on the other hand exemplifies what is wrong in society but he sells so he will get the nod. I long for the day where good is esteemed and bad not so much. Probably not as Mayweather will cash in more millions on us common folk as he deals with white europeans about fashion sipping a whine with Bieber and dating Chloe Kardashin

When do fighters or trainers not shrug off such concerns before a fight where they are going to be paid. It is kind of their responsibility to make the match-up look attractive if they are taking the money.

It is not until after the fight that you here the excuses (or reasons) why a guy looked broke on fight night.

It is only an excuse, if it is accepted as such.

That is what happened to Chad Dawson.

He assured us that he could make 168 and be healthy, so his word is gospel.

That is why I am completely uninterested in Golovkin/Mayweather at 154.

AB should OBVIOUSLY fight Porter at 147. Keyword = OBVIOUSLY !

If you cant take the heat, then get out of the kitchen, and stay at 140.

What we already know about this matchup......

1) Broner has already admitted that he may not be able to beat Porter because of size disparity

2) If Broner does beat Porter.....
* the Broner fans will insist the catchweight was irrelevant
* the Porter fans will insist the catchweight killed him
* nobody will know for sure what would have happened had the fight taken place at 147, rendering the event completely pointless

Hope Porter ends Broner. Once Broner took to humping Chino Maidana in the ring, it was a wrap. The fake Worldstar persona was already too much with the whole, "bush my hair," clown routine. It was great watching Chino manhandle him after that BS.

Its only you silly casual fans who would pick a favorite based on race/color.

Genuine boxing fans usually go with a style they prefer, or they support guys who they happen to be familiar with.
