I cant see how you can have direll winning lol. imo the 2 knockdowns were the difference 114-112 for degale. degale needs to work on his stamina if he does that against froch or golovkin hes gonna get smoked. but i was impressed by him.

I must've been watching a different fight but I had it for Direll by a round or two there were a couple rounds before Direll really turned things up that were quiet that I think "Chunky" was getting the benefit of the doubt based on what happened earlier and what might happen again but if you showed that round (independently) to someone who knows how to score a fight who hadn't seen the 2nd round... A lot of people are gonna score it to Andre. I assumed as close as close as I had it,the judges would have it for him as a "no brainer" being that Direll is American and all ... Guess not.

        Had the fight 114-112 myself.
Even in rounds, but the two knockdowns made the difference.

          I had it 114-112 DeGale.

I felt like Dirrell should've done more in the championship rounds.

I think he's got better. Dunno if you've seen him before, but there was a time a few years back where he'd gas around round six and need his second wind. He said it was injuries. Maybe it was, I dunno, but he's not a pure 12 round fighter I don't think.

As for the fight, I thought DeGale was throwing it away, really, though managed to pull it back, I guess.

Gave me one of my favourite (favorite, Fat Yanks) screen grab avatars, I'll say that.

114-112 Degale. He could've gotten Dirrell out of there had he not gassed.

I will watch the fight again and rescore it but I thought DeGale barely edged it. The difference being the knockdowns.

Dirrell definitely proved me wrong, didn't think he could come back after the trouble in the second and third. DeGale need to work on stamina and straight punches.

good thing degale had a 10-7 second round.
                    consider degale world class now.
I actually feel this fight is overrated. It wasn't a chess match as some predicted, but it wasn't that great either. Many rounds has little activity or shots landed clean.

It was a very clear DeGale win by a couple points. I can't imagine scoring it any differently.
